We rejoice in you, O Lord.
Our souls exult in you,
For you have clothed us with the garments of salvation;
And covered us with the robe of righteousness.
From your fullness we have all received,
Grace upon grace.
Our souls feast on your abundance,
And we are satisfied.
In peace, we pray to you, Lord God.
All people are subject to you, Sovereign Lord.
No corner of the world is hidden from you.
Gather your people from the farthest parts of the earth.
In your mercy, claim a great company from every nation.
All souls belong to you,
And we commend them into your loving care.
We pray for all people in their daily life and work;
For our families, friends, and neighbors, and for those who are alone.
For this community, the nation, and the world;
For all who work for justice, freedom, and peace.
Lord Christ, eternal Word of God,
You are light and life, the Creator of all things.
You became flesh and dwelt among us.
You know our world:
Full of sorrow and longing for your return.
Make yourself known to all people.
Reveal your glory,
Full of grace and truth.
Turn mourning into joy,
And sorrow into gladness,
That all people everywhere would be satisfied with the goodness of your salvation.
We pray for the just and proper use of your creation;
For the victims of hunger, fear, injustice, and oppression.
For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick, the friendless, and the needy.
Blessed are you, O Lord our God,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You have blessed us in him with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
What manner of love is this that we should be called your children?
That you would redeem us, adopt us as your children, and call us your heirs?
We praise your glorious grace, O Lord,
Lavished on us in Christ Jesus.
Father of glory,
Give your church a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you.
Enlighten the eyes of our hearts,
That we may know the hope to which you have called us,
The riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints,
And the immeasurable greatness of your power toward us who believe.
We pray for the peace and unity of the Church of God;
For all who proclaim the Gospel, and all who seek the Truth.
For Onesphore and Bob, our Archbishops, and Steve, Ken, and Kevin, our Bishops, and for all bishops and other ministers;
For all who serve God in his Church.
Happy are they who dwell in your house, O Lord!
May our hearts and our flesh rejoice in the living God.
Happy are the people whose strength is in you!
Set our hearts on the pilgrim way that we may follow you alone.
Happy are those who put their trust in you, O Lord of hosts!
Help us to seek you earnestly in all things.
We pray for the special needs and concerns of this congregation.
I invite you to add your own petitions.
Hear us, Lord,
For your mercy is great.
We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life.
I invite you to add your own thanksgivings.
We will exalt you, O God our King;
And praise your Name for ever and ever.
We pray for all who have died, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom.
Lord, let your loving-kindness be upon them;
Who put their trust in you.
We pray to you also for the forgiveness of our sins.
Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father;
In your compassion forgive us our sins,
Known and unknown,
Things done and left undone;
And so uphold us by your Spirit
That we may live and serve you in newness of life,
To the honor and glory of your Name;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
